Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Rippetoe Health, Inc. (“BISHOP”, “we”) collects when you use bishop3do.com and order a custom knee brace, how we use it, and who helps us process it. The BISHOP Orthotics app has its own app privacy policy, which covers scanning and Send to BISHOP in detail.

Information we collect

  • Your order intake: the patient's first and last name, date of birth, and which knee(s) need a brace; your shipping address, email address, and phone number; and whether you agreed to receive texts.
  • Your leg scan: the 3D scans you choose to send from the BISHOP Orthotics app with Send to BISHOP, together with your order number.
  • Payment and shipping: when you pay, our payment processor collects your card details. We receive the payment status, amount, sales tax, and the shipping service you chose. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Messages you send us: emails, texts, and calls about your order.

Cookies and analytics

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.

Your browser also remembers, on your own device, how you found our site: the ad, search, or link you came from (any campaign tags in the page address and the name of the website that sent you). It's sent to us only with your intake, so we can tell which ads and partners lead to orders, and it expires from your device after 90 days.

bishop3do.com uses no advertising or tracking cookies.

While you fill out the order form, your browser keeps a draft on your own device so you don't lose your progress. The draft isn't sent to us until you submit, and it's deleted once your intake goes through.

How we use your information

  • Review your scan, then design, 3D-print, finish, and ship your brace.
  • Send your app link, payment link, and shipping updates by email, and by text if you agreed.
  • Process your payment and calculate sales tax.
  • Answer your questions and handle warranty, returns, and fit adjustments.
  • Keep the records we're required to keep by law.

We do not sell your information, and we never use your intake, scan, or health details for advertising.

Text messages

We text you only if you tick “Text me my app link and order updates” on the order form. Texts carry only your order number and links: to get the app and send your scan, to pay, and to track your package. The pages those links open need the link's own code before they show anything about your order. How many texts you get depends on your order; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. We never share your phone number or text consent with anyone for their own marketing.

Who processes your information

We share information only with the service providers we need to fill your order:

  • Google Workspace: stores your intake, order records, the scans you send, and our email. Our Google Workspace account is covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement.
  • Stripe: processes payments and calculates sales tax.
  • Shippo and your chosen carrier: receive your name and shipping address to create the label and deliver your brace.
  • Twilio: sends our texts if you agreed to them, so it receives your phone number and the text.
  • Vercel: hosts bishop3do.com and counts visits without cookies.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of patients or others.

Data retention

We keep order and scan information for as long as we need it to make, support, and warrant your brace, and for as long as legal, accounting, and health-record rules require.

Security

The site uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and scan and payment links work only with the code sent to you. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Your choices

  • Stop texts at any time by replying STOP.
  • Ask to see, correct, or delete your information, including a scan you sent, by emailing eric@mybishop.net. Some records we're required to keep by law.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
